Really not a fan of new floating info boxes
Am I the only one that finds the new floating npc info boxes irritatingly large and the new tiny dialogue option windows on screen frustrating? Admittedly could be a case of me having gotten used to the old system of the bottom panel. So much wasted space around the perimeter of the UI, How hard would it be to let us configure our own UI. You can see from my hours played that I truly enjoy this concept game, but the UI is frustrating me.

The tiny ass dialogue option windows are driving me nuts. Thankfully there is a 'expand the whole damn thing' box to hit, but man... So tiny. So...inconvenient to use, hah.

Not a fan either myself. I don't see what it adds to have it floating around. I find that it obstructs what I'm focusing on more than helps.

Personally, I also thought the time controls up along the top was fine, less awkward than what's going on now. But that's less of an issue to me than the floating box, and the mega tooltip as well.

If I were to suggest a focus on changes, the interactions box in the center was fine. Date and Time controls along top worked well, and then re-focus on finding something better to do with the mega tooltip concept they have now as it eats up so much screen space and feels awkward.

Same here. Its too intrusive, we need a toggle for it in the options menu.

You can pin any box where you like. It should save it's position and stay fully expanded regardless of when it's opened again.

I think that it's easy to forget you can fully transition into a successful captain and the game functions much more like a command and management simulation. Zooming out across a large ship with several crew and rooms the floating tooltips do not take up so much critical viewspace anymore but remain relevant and legible.

It can also be a very jarring experience and adjustment as the majority of solo captain play it's much more natural to stay zoomed close in.

You can't pin the hovering tool tips windows, they pop up when you mouse over the text box in bottom center, or your clock, or any button on your PDA, as well as a lot of other annoying things, and you can't click on them, when you move your mouse away from what they are giving you a tip on, they vanish. The problem is they block my view of stuff and I absolutely despise them. I want to turn them off. I'm not a n00b, I don't need them. I understand they are there for new players so they can see "what each button does in the PDA" and that ♥♥♥♥, but for a player with almost 1000 hours, I knew what everything was well before the tool tips became an obnoxious thing like they are now. For the love of god LET ME TURN THEM OFF!

Maybe a delay - like 1-2s or even better, configurable delay, before they pop up would help to mitigate that?

I find that pinning the box just makes it jump a further away. I was able to make it stay in place by using the wasd keys by scrolling around the map. The floating box gets stuck depending on where you drag it around and then pin it place. https://youtu.be/CTh3EMx3Bpg

This isn't the box we are talking about at all. Thats the QAB box. We are talking about the floating tool tip when you hover your cursor over things like the buttons on your PDA, or the clock in the corner.

About the original post - on the steam deck - this is certainly pretty true. It's readable by me, but I'd appreciate being able to resize the dialog box, especially for social combat where a miss click might not be desirable.
