Report a translation problem
Way back when this was first reported (OP), there was no way to silence the alarm even temporarily. So we added a button that lets you clear it until a new contact is close.
But you're right that this can still be annoying if you're in a high traffic area.
We may someday add another button to disable that alarm completely. But in the meantime, if you want to silence it completely for a short while (like when doing maintenance at port), you can install a kill switch between the nav station and the conduit. That'll power down the nav until you toggle the switch again, which should silence both prox and tracking alarms.
