There is a debug "cheat" on the nav console, click the "rescue" screw, and select your destination
It's running too cold. When I chart a reasonable course, ~1.75gs with the drift phase 4 ticks below the shortest. it follows course for a little while before the temeperature drops to 0 and it shuts off. You said elsewhere that this has to do with the Cycle / Flow inputs being some way but the engine seems to set these automatically and I can't adjust them without interrupting the whole course
What reactor set up do you have? In case you're unaware, you can have multiple pellet feeders(small yellow unit) and laser arrays(small red). Up to 2 of each per fuel distributor (large yellow) and capacitor (large red).
From discussions, it seems that different set ups have different thresholds. I've only ever had 2/2 and never had an issue.
If you follow the discord link and go to the "cannonball run" thread in the "ships" channel, you'll find a lot of discussion about it there.
I seem to have found a solution. I just had to burn through ~16 cannisters of N2 to completely escape the gravitational pull of Venus. Then I plotted a course of 1.3g maximum thrust which will take me about 70 hours.
The core temperature is still lower than optimal -- about at 4, but so far it's running
Sounds like you'd benefit from a 2nd pellet feeder and laser array. I burn at 3g's, but that's limited by my weak spacer blood, rather than the reactor.
You have it set to fire too much. Its cooling because too much of the fuel is being chucked out the back rather than staying in the reactor. So change the max G setting to be less. You will be able to manage it, it'll just take longer to get where you're going. The alternative is to get less mass - trying to take tonnes of cargo is changing the way your ship handles.
I just can't with this game.
If I change the G setting to be less, maybe 1.2 or less (1.9 seems to be the max with my configuration), the trip takes like 220+ hours to complete. Whether I add components or remove them from the torch drive doesn't make a difference -- it either charts wrong, takes too long, or consumes an absurd amount of fuel.
I don't understand how it could be a mass thing because I've done this same path with this same ship before successfully but now there's infinite problems.
I encountered once when the reactor burned out the fuel(actually just one of many canisters was out), though the autopiloting system recognized another canister storage but the system went full amok. Everything stopped working, then I used insta-dock to saved my trip then fulfill the cans every time I departure, everything works fine till now.
I bought an aero commuter trying to fly through the atmosphere of Venus but that doesn't work, yet.
Also I remembered about some murder case in VENC and once received a 'mystery call from Venus', I found the contact on VENC but there's no related conversation yet.
I hacked a security drone but it just stopped then rebooted, I didn't have my dreaming robot dog. Hope one day we can do this..
The grand mall is a rip.
The air race sounds good but since the atom-flying is still not working (for me at least) so don't bother yet.
Remembered some one once travelled to Moon base, maybe it's my next stop.
