Anyone know what exactly makes each 'Room'?
I'm having a blast building and fixing up ships and selling them for profit. As i continue down this path i come interesting changes to rooms. My bedroom is now considered engineering. are there items that override others? or is it the type of room that is overriding the other?

Yes, mostly it has to be enclosed and have a door to another section.

No worries, I typed up a bunch of info I extracted from the various 0.12 data files when I had the time, energy and fixation to do so.
I will mention that there's a bug with the... Gas Storage room? As it refuses to work for some., including myself.
Much like the luxury quarters, as I've gotten them to work, but others haven't.
The tags on the items involved is the biggest thing to check as it dictates most of the rules and restrictions. If you're wondering about an item, it's actually best to load up the ship editor and search the item categories, as they'll be the most accurate to the version your playing.
