Character doing things with Auto OFF

My character keeps not doing what I tell them to do, and moving to do other things autonomously while auto mode is OFF. WTF, and how do I make it stop? The only status condition they have is "slight pain".

some things will activate even when their auto mode is off, such as hauling items, repairing, or installing things. make sure you don't have anything queue'd up for them to do, or more easily, let them wander off to whatever they're trying to do.

I'll check next time it happens, but I have no zones set, so I'm not sure.

Yeah, check the Tasks list in the PDA, often when you assign one task it might queue up some prerequisite tasks to get items for the other tasks that seem to stay around

This is also confusing me. My guy kept trying to walk back onto the ship I had just finished looting, getting out of the Nav Station seat in the middle of trying to plot my next destination and he would get up and start walking back to the ship with no pressure suit on or anything...
