Damaged items

Is there any way to find out what u need to repair a damaged item? I have a transponder that became damaged because i uninstalled it, and now i cannot install in again. I cant find any tooltips that would indicate what items i need to repair something from a damaged state, or even what items i need to build an item from scratch. Does anyone know where to find that information in game?

yes, if you hover over the repair button, you get a list of parts needed down at the bottom of the description

you can't repair the transponders. You have to buy a new one on the station. I think they are around 35k

under most situations, if something can be repaired, you have to place it down on the ground, then select it, and it will have a repair button... if it doesn't, then it cant, if it does, it'll display the items needed and tools required.
