Is a early access game, learning by doing is a awful design altogether for multiplayer only RTS games in general as explained, not only that relies on other RTS games to know how to play. well, that just equals to oof.
I understand the struggle of not having a skrimish or single player mode.
It sure will be a struggle for the game's survival. xD
I believe I set to follow War Selection because the concept seems rather intriguing, but not something I will play without a singleplayer aspect.
I enjoy watching games flourish in Early Access sometimes. I've been playing Bannerlord since release and you'd be surprised the amount of people not able to tell the difference between Early Access and a full release.
Thanks for your reply. :)
i played alot RTS games (Command and Conquer, Age of Empires, and and and) there is many more and all of these got the function finished (AI Skirmish), sure the Campaign can wait but not the skirmish function.
in any case the game will not been finished after all we need to wait.
so my question is why the developer isnt working on Skirmish ?
my answer is that i do make pressure on this point because i only see in any updates the developer leaked out are new factions, if you make more new factions you make more work on developing skirmish ai because you need new ai for the faction.
and the hard part is you need to script all these faction ai's like how they meant to be played so the ai knows the strength of the nation he playes against us.
so the developer done something we all can see it yes, but the work on that project will cost more time because of developing something that an RTS Title didnt need in first place only in future updates.
i hope the skirmish function will be there soon i waited a long long long time for it !
As Moonlight has said, we've both played dozens of RTS games. Without repeating their point, I will say that my most-played RTS is easily Company of Heroes 2 but I have rarely played the campaign on any RTS, nor have I ever used it to play against another human (maybe with another human). Command and Conquer is my most played franchise, having played every single game, but still never touching most of the campaigns.
Long story short, having skirmish against bots increases longevity in an RTS game.
