Postal III: 'No DRM' Update

Months ago, Valve removed Postal III due to issues with DRM. Despite being a dark chapter in the series, people should still be able to check the game out if they want. We did what we could to make it happen.

Featuring 100% less DRM (and a couple less crashes) for new and existing customers, Postal III is now back on Steam!

Changelog:

- Fixed crashes caused by DRM triggers (shields, throwables, etc)
- Increased performance and stability by enabling multi-threading and decreasing max decal limit
- Added 'Fart Gun' DLC
- Added some missing files to suppress console errors
- Disabled closed captions by default. Captions were never used anyway
- Added FGD from the Postal 3 SDK to ease mapmaking

The update is currently still missing the Fart Gun DLC as well as the cfg edits for the multithreading, decal limit, and closed captions. The FGD is also not currently included.

If it's not difficult, you can answer a couple of questions.

1. You deleted 3 achievements from Steam, but they remained in the game itself in the achievements folder. Do you plan to return them to Steam or remove them from the game itself?

2. A purely aesthetic question or even a request. Can you change the name of the game in Steam itself to caps (POSTAL 3) so that it does not stand out among other parts?

Holy crap, navigating that p3.dll file through my security was absolute hell, disk read error madness until I disabled all my security, and then i had to put the file into a special list to not react to the trojan it's screaming at me it is, whew but thanks for the update to stop the damn INSTALL checks, much appreciated.

I now look forward to checking out the fixes later, as well, nice to hear about this at all.

Without the russian source code i think there's nothing they can do.

recoil is something u can easily remove in the weapon scripts without the source code, just open p3_weapon_m60.txt and set the recoil value to zero (PS, the source code is not in russian, comments are)

I don't see why the fart gun would be missing from the Steam version. You don't start with it. You have to get to the HIV cat level before you can use it.

The update did not include the files for it. You can see for yourself on SteamDB. The only files that actually came in the update were the dlls and exe.
