Game has access to local files?
One of the first popups when you start the game show text that says something about the game having access to your computers local files. What files are you exactly implying?

But I am really glad some people do read those warnings!

I know. I originally intended to use a bit more than that, but ultimately decided it was already more than enough. I guess I could change up the warning a bit?

I think that any more would just ruin the surprise for those down the line

I can't close it. So now I have 30 hours on it and it won't let my laptop charge

I mean.... If you had read the warnings, you would know how to close it. (:
Hold the "Enter" key down while doing Alt-F4. It'll force-close it~!
Of course, there's always the traditional ctrl-alt-delete!

I mean, unless you run all your games in a VM, every game has access to your local files.
accually i think it acceses more, like your pcs name, windows files, time and date and ext. not only local game files. i can also tell your inspierd by undertale in alot of aspects of this game

A lot of games do that, actually. o/
And no, I do not access any Windows files. Only the files I create myself in My Documents, and two files I write on the desktop. I do access time and date, but is that even worth mentioning? :p

yeah, because (i think) you need access to some windows files to get the time and date, also relates to my location.

No, I don't need any access to files for that. It's a simple Environment variable that is (very) easily accessible. :p
There's a lot of info on the subject here, if you are interested: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/api/system.datetime

The point here is that the warning isn't explicit on which "local files" content the game is accessing. "local files" is way too broad of a term. It could mean anything. Examples include pictures, windows files, downloads, etc. There is no front page warning indicating of this either.

Yes, I am aware you already stated your reasoning above, but you could be more discrete in the warning popup and add something along the lines of "Your computer name will be used, and game files will be created in My Documents" that is all. Instead, you purposely made the warning ambiguous then added something like "don't worry, i wont share your content". Without coming to this forum, how is the player supposed to feel secure and safe with that? It's a breach of trust.
The whole point of the game is to creep you out... What do u expect? Hey gamer just so u know this game isn't actually real! u can exit at anytime!! How dumb are you? lol.

Maybe because if it was actually collecting personal data other than your name then maybe it wouldn't be on steam?

How would you know that? Is there a policy you can reference? Because i'm sure you're just talking out your♥♥♥♥♥ There are games that collect information from your computer, but you first have to agree to a TOS before entering the game. Can name several of them. Here, the game forces it on you.
Did you read the Agreement that you agree to by installing/downloading the game? Every single game has access to some portion of your computer. I'm not going to curse at you like your childish self did to me, But you really should just leave if ur gonna be such an idiot. :) BYE
