Believe me this took me far too much time on the first playthrough. There's no shame in getting frustrated, but I feel the level serves its purpose. It's pushing forward in spite of adversity and despair. The moment of triumph once you're past it is definitely a joyful moment, especially for those that had trouble.
Yeah, at the risk of seeming dramatic I thought this part in particular was an especially good allegory for how it is. Sometimes the bright spots are actually kind of scary when you see them, and sometimes they set you back almost to zero. All you can do though is to keep on pressing through the darkness.
