I missed out by going to the mainland. Whats the reward for ultimately clearing this quest?

About this quest. I finished the chain and the log says "you've received items (3 gumby polymorphism)" but there is nothing in my inventory. So...that was a waste of time walking all over the island to talk to those guys. What am I missing here? Or is this just bugged? If it is it should probably be fixed or removed

Hello Boboturk, you can find the reward in your Premium Inventory by pressing 'C' :)
