Level 14 to Level 70 suddenly ?!

I don't know what's going on guys but i logged into a server a few days ago and it made me 70 LVL, am I hacked or could it be a problem to get banned ?

How can I get out of this situation, need help.

You won't get banned from being level hacked from JOINING SOMEONE ELSE'S SEVER.

However if you were running cheats on your computer, you probably will be in for a ban. However if you just joined the server alone and that was it, you're fine.

As for your rank, you can either choose to try and revert it, reset it or keep it at 70. You can choose to reset it back to 1. Or you can choose to stay at 70. It's up to you.

If you want to try and revert (doesn't always work):

Go to -

Steam folder>userdata>(RANDOM NUMBER)>10190 RIGHT CLICK THE 10190 folder, click propertiers and click restore previous version.

Go to your Modern Warfare 2 folder and do the same with the PLAYERS folder.

If that has no effect, then you have no choice but to stay at 70 or reset your rank to 1.

The following four files must be deleted in order to reset the user’s rank to zero (rank level 1) in the Steam Cloud :

|Steam|SteamApps|common|call of duty modern warfare 2|players| two .stat files
|Steam|userdata|(some numbered folder)|(10190)|remote| two files

If you have no luck then add me.

Thanks for the explanation, but does deleting the steam userdata folder remove my other savegame files ?

Provided you delete the correct folders, it will only delete the MW2 rank ones.

Same with me got it a year ago, havent been banned but i wish i could do all the missions properly :(

Happened to me today. I'll try and see if reinstalling and uninstalling the game resets my level.

Regarding the .stat files, which ones must you delete? There are about eight.

Sigh...This just happened to me. Had to reset my level. How annoying, I like unlocking everything for myself, just having it unlocked ruins the experience for me, and I keep finding these damn lobbies.

I have reset my rank quite a few times due to being bumped up by a lobby. One time I had to reset it 3 times in one week.
I agree with Dirt, I like working my way up. I used to wonder why some folks are at Lvl 70 with no prestige, But I see why now, they just want to play with all they have un locked. But to me, most of the fun in this game is playing your way up to the higher ranks.
