Best killstreaks?

I am wondering wich killstreaks are actually the best to snowball a game with?

I came to see that some of the killstreaks won't add their kills to your streak so they won't accumulate, and then some actually do?

try not use some of the earlier ones, also try to avoid ones that you need control yourself, so you still can play and use it to add to your advantage while the enemy players are distracted

It's rather problematic getting to the point where I actually make more than 3 kills per life. I always use hardliner as perk and try to snowball from that.

So I wondered wich Killstreaks would actually increase my killstreak to get to the higher killstreaks.

Many of them actually don't increase my current streak for example the automatic harrier streak will kill walking enemy's but doesn't increase the kill counter to unlock the next streak weapon.

Is there someone who knows what I mean?

Except that it does get you the next killstreak if the harrier gets the kills? This obviously doesnt work if you get it from a care package
