Broken Mini Map
I just bought this game and when I played a game I joined a hacked game. I didn't realize it until it kicked me. The only damage it has done is that my mini map doesn't show anything. It is just blank. If anyone knows how to fix this please let me know!

The pinned threads will solve your problem.

So I did exactly what the pinned thread said to do but now when I try to start the game it goes to a black screen for a couple seconds then it minimizes to the taskbar. When I try to click it to open it, it does the same thing again. Is there a fix for this? I also just tried starting it from razer game booster and that doesn't work either.

Also I can hear the music to the game in the backround....

Ignore the pinned threads. Most of them are full of out dated information at this point.

Exit Steam. Go into your MW2 and delete the config.cfg and config_mp.cfg in the players folder.
Delete the clientregistry.blob file in your root Steam folder.
Restart Steam and see if that works.

If not, you may wish to delete all local content for MW2 and re-download game. Unfortunately the P2P lobbies are plagued with hacked lobbies any more.

I already fixed the problem for him.

The pinned threads are fine, the info he was looking for was in there.
