LAN Multiplayer?
So I was wondering if you can play this game over LAN. I used to play it on Xbox so I'm not sure if you're able to do this on pc

As far as I know it is through Steam but after that it uses your LAN connection anyway.

MW2 has no official lan mode; you must be online if you want to play the multiplayer.
But there is an inofficial lan mod, allowing you to play MW2's multiplayer offline.
The mod is called "bgIW4 offline mod" and works fine.
I downloaded it a year ago and I don't kwon where anymore.
If you want to use this mod, i would advise you to copy your, use an unsteam mod for the copy and then intall the mod, so there is no risk to get banned by ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ VAC; thinking you are cheating, because of the mod

Why are you advertising mods that can get you VAC banned and are blocked by the forum filter?

Because it solves Problem.

It`s not my fault, that IW removed the Lan Mode in MW2, and I will not Support this Scam on every Gamer by letting information to fix it untold.

But there is a better Mod now, even supporting online on special Servers, its called ♥♥♥♥.

It brings his own Levels,. this means you have to level again, but this means also the Mod is divided from the original stats and using it brings no VAC risk.

mw2 and mw3 have lan mods from teknogods you must look on internet for this
