Why can't the Javelin lock-on? Am I missing something?

I am getting pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥ off in the singleplayer mode. How do you get your javelin to fire since it is not possible to lock-on on it's own automatically.

Playing PC version with keyboard and mouse and now I am stuck and can't progress the story since it will not lock-on for me to kill off the helicopters..

It target a green square on all helicopters targets but if I press fire, it says it need to lock on. So what button do I need to press to get it to lock on???????????

I can follow the helicopter all over the place but it just does not lock. So I figured am I missing something here like a button to press or hold on till it lock. And damn Steam for not have a manual Plus the stupid game itself has no information on that.

Of if this is a stream BUG problem as it does not automatically scan and lock as the game should. I so far have not been able to find anyone with this problem ever. What am I missing?

You just hover it over the center of the targeting screen fro a second or so, it will auto lock on then.

Yes done that for the last hour... it still will not lock on. It never locks.

Done that all a few times ... btw during other parts of the game story, there were chances for me to use launcher and it too does not lock on but i thought nothing of it till now since for this instance, not being able to lock-on would mean I can not progress further in the game as no helicopter are shot down. heheheh...

Finally got it to work. Did a cold reboot of my computer and restart mission. Thanks anyway Laptop65. Cheers
