This whole "Dedicated servers" thing

To whoever made the whole "Dedicated servers" server, I gotta ask you why, they are worse than normal server.
You dont let people leave at the end of the match, no killstreaks, you pick Rust like its the best map ever, there is no intermission for people to change up their classes.
And most of the time these servers are empty, I counted 7 times i've joined a dedicated server and there was nobody else.

They just like power. Can't find it IRL so they force host, refuse to let you stop connecting to their servers, and force "No tubes, launchers, UMP45, akimbo", and all manner of other things they're butthurt about. Instead of admitting that they don't like MW2, they just stroke their egos by pretending they know the proper way for it to be played, and force those ♥♥♥♥♥♥ rulesets on everyone else.

And yeah Rust is absolute garbage, esp. with the insanely high player counts they have on those servers.

What's more, they disable you or us Equipments (Cookies, Blast Shield... ...., Smokes, Flashbangs...), all perks are disabled for us, just like some weapons, always without any attachments, we have the lowest possible ammount of hit points without any regeneration, because it's impossible - any grenade, even a Stun or Flashbang can kill us without a need to be hit by them, just be in their explosion radius. But host must be the best, so he / she has them he l she also has the most hit points with the fastest regeneration, probably even more than one perk to each one (perk 1 - 3).
The Killstreak Rewards are disabled for us, and host has them.
Host is getting air support in no time (Pave Lows, AC130s, "Gunships").
You can't go to any place, you're getting killed one or two seconds after your respawn, but because you spawn directly into your team mates, you're bugged in them, resulting in an inability to even move.
So, you're just respawning and respawning for few minutes, waiting like a pig to be killed, until the spawn point changes and this circle repeats, until the host finaly actives his / her Tactical Nuke.
At the end of the match, every player ends with a K/D
... similiar to 3/56 + -, host ends with K/D 159/4 or with something like that...

The best ideas, what to do is...
- To record it, send it to any of the active moderators;
- To wait until you get kicked for inactivity;
- To leave ASAP...

This thread is proof that dedicated servers suck and always did. Because you see how bad it made MW2. MW2 is obsolete. I suggest WWII, only noobs and comfort zone egos are afraid of WWII. It is better in EVERY way.

Nope. But black ops 4 seems to be the better game so far judging from the beta. WW2 bombed.

I would say 90% of these 'dedicated servers' suck, but you meet the occasional nice guy.. not saying to look out for them though, cause the are rare

Mods or not, half the hosts on this game suck either way

wasn't there dedicated servers on console? i remember this game being way more... stable on console. And those dedi servers didnt seem to be full of cancer.

Maybe im confused. Hit me with your knowledge steam.

Just in the start every one did games with players and enemies living in their own country or close by

My issue is I'll que for tdm and end up in a domination or sabotage server that's hosted by some stupid modding tool BS.

It can seem a little involved at first, but if it's worth the effort to you, certainly check out the available guides on how to block modders and/or restore files

Nah, i have my fun. Playing MW2 now isn't really fun. especially if I have to go out of my way to "fix" the game. just not worth it to me and it might as well RIP. There's no bringing back the glory days of cod. CoD needs to RIP i think.
