Multiplayer runs poorly on RTX 2080

The single player runs as expected but I get major dips in FPS and in general just bad performance in the multiplayer. Running an 8700k 16GB RAM and an 8GB RTX 2080 does anyone have any suggestions?

Try disabling any overlays, this includes nvidia's overlay and any other FPS overlays you may have running.

Also is this a desktop machine or laptop?

Check for Driver Updates
This game can run at 200 fps on a toaster you shouldnt have any issues

Owning an RTX card does not mean that it's always using raytracing. In fact only a select few games even support Raytracing and MW2 def isn't one of them so he def isnt using ray tracing for MW2,

Sure the I'm older than you card is a childish move when used in an argument unrelated to age. But the guy litterally told me I don't look old enough to do my job, I simply corrected him. It wasn't used in a childish mannor to undermine someone's argument.
