MW2 vs MW3

So i was thinking of buying mw2. I did play it a lot on the ps3 but i suck so bad, as in 9 kills and 19+ deaths. I never got far in the singleplayer either, but i just kept playing... i dunno why. Anyway so i tried it again but this time on the pc. And i didn't play multiplayer. But i like the singleplayer... a lot. But now i don't know if i should get MW2 or MW3. I just don't want to buy one of them and then find out that thre is only like 500 people playing when i'm online. I live in europe. So i need to make sure there is a good player count.

So: MW2 or MW3?

both multiplayers are bad, single player in mw2 is fun but shorter and with mw3 you get more spec ops and survival mode
also, i do not recommend buying them unless they are on sale

mw2 has most players and the best multiplayer. I like the singleplayer and spec ops as well, but I cant compare it as I didnt play much more than the campaign on mw3.

Its price has decreased a lot over the years and the current price is pretty much worth it.

Another guy said not to buy them unless they are on sale... I might just buy both of them if they are on sale tho. But the multiplayer is best in mw2? I remeber rage a lot on the ps3 so i'm a little unsure that i will like it xD but what about mw3? Is there anything good there worth thinking about? I think there are more weapons in mw3 than 2 sadly. they should have had both games into 1 and called it mw3. new maps, same maps, new weapons, same weapons etc, ;)

there are other websotes that sell the games under 10$, look them up, also the multiplayer in mw2 is more fun thats a fact but its full of noobtubers

I deleted MW3, too many cheats. And there are cheats in MW2, but the game is much more fun than 3.

Hosting system for both of them is really bad, because it's P2P. If you're on US you should be fine though. I had MW3 on console and I didn't like it that much, so I'd recommend MW2 over MW3.

i don't know what "P2P" means but you're saying that since i live in europe it's going to be hard to find a good server?

I own both. Number of players are equal, if you're looking for multiplayer, MW2 is more fun. If you want to play the campaign, get all 3, Mw1, 2 and 3, or it won't make any sense. Don't listen to the idiots saying it sucks, MW series is the best of the franchise, along with BO1 and 2

Yes i have played the mw2 cod 4 mw story but not the third. But yes im mostly looking for multiplayer. But your post really helped thank you :)

I mean the host is provided by peer-to-peer, so the connection is not as good as you'd get with a dedicated server.
I heard P2P works without a problem in a few games. Well, this is definitely not one of them.
