The daily time limit ruins the game
Why is this stupid mechanic in the game? It serves no purpose, and it ruins the experience for me. I want to explore and figure things out at my own pace, but I always feel like I can't explore and have to run around frantically trying to find something, anything that works because I'm on an extremely short timer at all times. It's a very frustrating experience for me to play.

After having played the to completion, I think it serves a great purpose. It gets used to progress the game. Every so often you're required to progress time, what this does is that any completed puzzles progress to the next stage and unlock more puzzles.

Any uncompleted puzzles give you an additional hint from the relevant npc. And it gives the nice doctor a chance to speak who otherwise doesn't speak to the player until the ending sequence.

The fact that staying up past curfew has only a minor effect on the gameplay you wake up late the next day means that theres no hurry to do anything. If there was a timelimit, like... in X days you lose. Then sure? There could be an issue here, but since there is infinite time (afaik) it doesn't really matter.

It helps push the story forward and discourages idling...I think it would be worse "without" the timer...
