CONTROLLER Settings?
I was watching a "How to do" type video for the game and it showed an Option in Settings having to do with your Controller....BUT in my MXGP 2019 Game, I do not seem to have that, PLEASE advise? Do I need to uninstall and re-install the game - MAYBE? TKS

If you go over to Controls it should pop up with all the different key bindings for your keyboard. You have to go over to the right to view the Controller bindings window.

There are several threads on this subject. Is this option truly there and it's just a case of lazy people with tunnel brains and vision? Can you edit the controls however you want them to be in the game?

There's options for that in Big Picture Mode.

How Do I get to Big Picture Mode? I'm stuck in a practice race I can't get out of.

Right next to your name in large mode there's a white rectangular icon. That's big picture mode. Alternatively you can click View > Big Picture Mode.

It is very possible to change the controls of this game however you want them to be. Controller options are in the game menus. Big Picture options might not be needed unless you want to adjust joystick sensitivity, there aren't options in the game for that.

Crap. Try as I may, the game always defaults back to Keyboard controller even after going into Big Picture Mode and mapping my controller settings. I'm using an old Logitech pad so I had to install the x360ce emulator. Any ideas? Thanks in advance Jack.

I tested both old, generic gamepads (aXis pads I've had for decades), a Logitech F310 and F710, and a cheap wireless X360 style gamepad. They all worked. I'm not using an emulator or big picture mode. The emulator might be getting in the way? Big Picture Mode can act like an emulator. Having 2 emulators running at the same time might not be a good thing either.

If your controller works in windows it should work in the game. If it doesn't work in windows you don't need an emulator you need a driver for the device. It's possible the emulator installed the driver for it that causes it to work. Turn the emulator off and test the controller in windows, please. Does Windows see it and claim it works?

If Windows sees it but some things don't work right use the calibration feature. Try calibrating it.

To test what's going on please:
1. If you're using BP mode please exit Big Picture. Then exit and restart Steam.
The purpose is to give the best chance BP isn't running.

2. Make sure your emulator is closed, it's process is not running.

3. Press the start button or WinKey and find "USB Game Controllers" (just start typing after bringing up the Start Menu you don't need a search box). A window should appear:

- Is your controller listed? That means WIndows sees it. It's ok if it says it's generic something. You want an old controller to say that if it doesn't produce it's model name/number.

4. Click the Properties button in the controller window to test it. If it's wonky go in to the Settings tab and try those options and features out. It might need to be calibrated.
