It's not a Contra game in name, but for me it's missing Hard Corps: Uprising.

Contra 4 was the best Contra, and they've missed it. You can easily do a vertical game in 1080p with borders or something, what a waste.

I looked into it, and it looks like the other Contra games (besides Contra Force and the PS2 games) weren't developed by Konami:
*Legacy of War; C=Appaloosa
*Contra 4=WayForward
*ReBirth=M3
*Hard Corps: Uprising=Arc System Works

Yes I did; I did not know they developed this (I posted the message before I bought the game).

Yeah I don't know what it is about Rebirth but I love it. Closest to Hard Corps for me, at least. Which is my #1 favorite. Contra 3 makes me too dizzy on the even missions. Contra 4 was super fun but insanely hard. Great level design tho, kept me coming back.

I'm a sucker for all the campy remakes around this era. Castlevania, DD Neon, Turtles in Time, Bionic Commando, Contra Rebirth, etc.

even the ps2 entries, or at least a remake of some of those.
