Crackly Sound
I tried all the fixes but none work, it's not game specific, it's just one side of the audio is horribly crackly, the one fix i didnt try, cause i cant, is changing my headset hz thingie, cause, i can't, it doesn't support it.

I got it too, I don't know what's going on personally.

It's kinda of like a gacha honestly, i have to keep restarting the game until it works, its a really weird issue

I don't really know what you mean, it wasn't an issue until recently. I just decided it was october and I wanted to play some, but it's impossible with the sound on, it just keeps popping in my left ear.

Same for me. I get it pretty much 50% of the times I start the game and I can't find the reason. I started CV1 and first thought "holy crap, the music felt much better when I was a kid", as it was playing the equivalent of the castlevania theme song played through a drive-through speaker.

Started Super Castlevania 4 twenty times. I was able to get normal sound ONCE.

It's because of your cpu.
Restart the pc it should be better for a while.

By chance you maybe have in bios Acoustic Noise Settings under misc, it helps but doesn't remove it entirely.

Could be also because of spread spectrum in bios.
https://www.reddit.com/r/audiophile/comments/9pohq6/a_very_easy_tip_to_make_your_pcs_audio_much/

I though use at the moment Sound Blaster X3, I get sound crackling when any sound starts to play when no sound is playing, if it's continuous audio playback then no problems. At least it's much better than without it.

Sadly I don't have spread spectrum in the bios, no any idea where it could be, prolly an old setting for older motherboards.

I do not believe its the CPU at all, I've restarted my pc when it first happened. I kiiiinda assumed it didn't like my wireless headset, if anyone else that's having this issue uses a wireless one that could collaborate that theory, that'd be neat.

Will check the bios for that, tho', not a fan of messing around with that.

At the end of the day, don't think costumers should be cracking their head on issues like these for a product they bought. Cause, if i were to emulate these games, i'd have ZERO issues, i know, cause i've done it before, i just bought this cause i'm a fan and want to support the series.

Feels like being punished for paying know what i mean.

The Acoustic Noise Settings is okay to mess with, it's literally meant for it.
The spread pectrum thing prolly doesn't exist anymore.

I found that another fix someone posted and someone said it fixed it for them.
"How to fix the audio issue:

1.) With the game off/not running right-click on the Desktop and click "show more options"
2.) Left-click: "Nvidia Control Panel"
2.) In the left-most column find and left-click: "Manage 3D Settings[/b]"
3.) In the center box, left-click "Open GL GDI Compatibility" and change to: Compatible

Click "Apply" at the bottom of the menu. Exit Nvidia Control Panel. Restart game(s)!

Enjoy!"

I don't though have audio crackling issues with the game, but that's prolly just because of Sound Blaster X3. I will at least keep in mind the nvidia setting.

Try adding it to steam too, and restart steam.
Maybe the steam overlay is messing with it.

Or yeah consider getting an external or pcie sound device.

None worked, and, i'm not gonna get a new sound device just cause of a busted collection frankly, imma just emulate like god intended.

Well if it's the only game, then sure.
I get crackling with anything without x3, and it is super extreme without the bios Acoustic Noise Settings. Also it becomes worse the more cpu heavy duty stuff I do.
With a previous motherboard where my i7 8700k was, it was an issue too, but not as much as with i7 14700k in z970 mobo. Before the i7 8700k cpu never had audio crackling issues globally.
