It's a collection of Classic-style Castlevania titles, sold and marketed as such. Also, it's been mentioned repeatedly that it's only the *first* Castlevania collection, which means there's at least another one on the way. No, they won't miss out on making some more money selling a 1997 PS1 title. Have some patience and do some research, k?
Do you work for Konami? because i all see from you on this board is how this is the 'classic' collection of games and that people are dumb for even wanting SOTN because it exists on other platforms.
I don't see ♥♥♥♥ about it being "classic" or the "first" Castlevania collection on the store page. But maybe we aren't all as huge of fanboys or employees as you?

"The Vampire Hunters are back!!
The first #Castlevania Anniversary Collection is out today on PlayStation®Store, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch™ eShop, & Steam/PC for SRP $19.99!"
Aside from being mentioned as being the "first" CV collection on multiple sites months before release. Google it.
And seeing as it's not the first of the Anniversary Collections lineup, there is no room for interpretation. It's the first Castlevania collection, as in there will be at the very least another one. My bet is two. They will probably milk Igavanias for all their worth.
As for the "classic" Castlevania collection part - it's on the Collection's official site.

"This KONAMI Castlevania Collection is designed to be a collection around the origins of the historic franchise."
I don't know if you're as "employee" or "fanboys" as I am, but you definitely lack basic information gathering skills. Which is ironic for a fan of sub-series designed around exploration and finding secrets.
KONAMI YOU NEED A BETTER VALUE PROPOSITION, so add SotN or something else to this if you want sales.
Because Sympathy of the night was available for purchase with Rondo of blood. Before this version came out just at the end of last year or so. Sadly I think it was only on ps4, maybe switch. This anniversary edition was made with the consoles in mind. Mostly to add to the already released version. I was surprised to see it on steam. But let's hope we get the ps4 sympathy of night and Rondo of blood games on steam port too. That would be nice. I'm not sure now if I should get the ps4 version since I already have the Sympathy night version on there or just get this on steam. Will need to check out to see if there are any differences and bugs. PC version will have bonuses if it runs well. With it just being on PC. Plus this is the more retro versions before the 32bit onwards which really changed the series. Especially when it went on the GBA and DS.
I agree but review bombing isn't going to help them get that mindset. But the same goes for the GBA and DS exclusives. Getting all the games on all the platforms is ideal.
And you wonder why companies don't care about PC anymore. With a lets just pirate attitude. Also steam lets you map controls. This is a non-issue. In fact, anyone not using a non-Xbox controller already needs to do this by default with every game. Display options would be the same for console versions and they can't fix them. But PC players can when all they need to do is edit the files that they have access to. But you don't hear the console players threaten to pirate, do you because of such silly issues?
