Outside of crusty GBA audio, Aria of Sorrow is better.
Metroidvanias are... alright. Nothing wrong with them, but they definitely lost that medieval gothic style that Castlevania went for in the classic games and went more anime route. Fine games in their own right, but not what I think of when I think Castlevania.
Such a hugely wasted opportunity.
Thank god PC has MODs, so I wouldn't mind that much about the new voices.
