They had a release for Rondo of Blood and SOTN on consoles so they figured that everyone would just buy both, sadly they didn't have a steam release for that. :P

Let's hope for an Igavania Collection

This collection is a lazy cashgrab, I imagine it would take more efforts to get SotN working too. I mean, those developers can't even compile the game for Windows 7/8.1, do you think they're capable of making a proper SotN release (which basically means making proper PS1 emulator, something what requires pretty good efforts to do), let alone Rondo of Blood (which requires good PC Engine emulator as well)?

because volume 2 is going to be a thing.

They could port the existing Castlevania Requiem version from console instead of converting the original versions.

Its simple: The scope of this collection was classicvania, Symphony of the Night was a major series transition.

People would still complain because it has decent voice acting and they want the original dub audio.

You know, SoTN isn't the end-all be-all of Castlevania.

Yeah I don't see them going back to the originals or doing a Dracula X Chronicles HD. If anything they would port Requiem or do the same method of porting they did for Requiem.

There is a mentality where games only matter if they were released for home consoles, and that portable games are inferior.

Outside of crusty GBA audio, Aria of Sorrow is better.

Well, I was talking about how some people actually like the Classicvania style better.

Metroidvanias are... alright. Nothing wrong with them, but they definitely lost that medieval gothic style that Castlevania went for in the classic games and went more anime route. Fine games in their own right, but not what I think of when I think Castlevania.

I know, how DARE they not release a game that has a current active re-release? I mean, it's not like they strongly implied there would be a second collection or something. And that games list, I mean, Bloodlines and Kid Dracula, one hasn't seen a release in 25 years and the other never came out in North America? It's like Konami doesn't WANT our money.

This bundle is awful, they had to bundle them together, because no one would buy half of them otherwise.

Such a hugely wasted opportunity.

Thank god PC has MODs, so I wouldn't mind that much about the new voices.
