Life Force apparently is not Life Force?

I got this because I was a big fan of the NES version of Life Force in the past. The Screenshots and name suggested it is the same game. But instead it is somewhat similar but way less "epic" than the NES version. In the first 10seconds of the game you're fully equipped with weapons? You cannot choose the type of powerups in this game? why? this is not fun. I can imagine this version comes from some arcade machine and got completely reworked for NES and made it a much deeper title there. Even the music on NES was cooler. :/

right. sorry got confused. I was hoping to find my favourite version of Life Force in another collection.

Well that's a shame. I liked the NES life Force. . Most of Konami's titles were better on the NES than the arcade actually due to the focus on gameplay and fun as opposed to token exploitation.

I wonder why they dodn't do what they did for the COntra Collection and just put both teh Arcade and the NES versions.

I mean. its not like they're doing anything with those titles.

Yeah, they actually released 2 different versions of salamander in the arcade; the one in this collection and another one with the gradius/ NES life force powerup system.
