What I'm saying is that yes they are Arcade games, but they're mostly Shmups. They should've made a separate collection since old Konami games are very well known for Shmups.
Keep Haunted Castle, put Amidar, Frogger, Pooyan, Circus Charlie, Rush 'N Attack, Jackal, Sunset Riders and Bucky 'O Hare. This is how the Arcade collection should've been like.
( Speaking of which: How about a modern sequel to follow the acclaimed Gradius V?? it's truly a Treasure to play.)
btw - R Type has a sequel announced: Final 2! which was after the Dimensions collection
Hope they can match the quality of Delta.
I really wanted to see Salamanders 2, Gradius Gaiden and Gradius III & IV in it...
Also more Parodius games...
And finally Gradius Rebirth...
Wait what?? I thought Irem quit making games???
The hell are you saying? I'm aware that the genre is very niche and most of them are indie games (there are many great hidden gem on Steam)
The genre deserves some kind of revival (especially since Gradius was one of the most important serie for Konami in the 80-90's)
R-type 1&2 is already on Steam (Dimmension Ex). If you talk about Final 2 then there's still a possibility to see a PC release
Also please define "real shmupper"
Well I don't have a huge collection but I already own a bunch (both on Steam and physically on console)
dont forget beatemups like Metamorphic Force, Violent Storm and Gaiapolis
Guy who worked in Irem for a long time created his own company Granzella. He made Disaster Report 4 and City Shrouded in Darkness, and now announced R-Type Final2
offtop: wait, are you THE VJFranzK?
