This package is an almost buy, but...
As someone who grew up with Atari 2600, and NES, I saw Life Force and 50% buy for that alone, but then no Contra? That is a KOnomi game and was one of best at the time.

Trying to think what else komi made. Forgot, but remember the secret code.

I could make several collections with all their good games. Contra on the NES invented cheat codes/hacking/etc. with the Konami Code. It worked on Contra, Gyruss (published under the "Ultra Games" label), and a few others.

A no buy for me. As Jim Sterling would say, ♥♥♥♥ KONAMI.

Gradius actually did the code before Contra did. Contra is just what most people know it from.

As for me, what ends up killing this for me is that it's not the Japanese versions of the games if you're not in Japan. Nemesis and Vulcan Venture have way too many changes in terms of the gameplay balance in comparison to Gradius and Gradius II. Then there's plenty of other differences compared to the versions that people actually play on other stuff.

If it were based on the Japanese versions for everyone or even had an option to choose between the versions (like Simpson's Arcade 360/PS3) or Capcom Arcade Cabinet(PS3/360), this would have went into my wishlist.

That is an actual important thing when the community that competes tends to play the Japanese versions of the arcade games due to them being the more popular ones or due to better balance.
