Worth buying it as a Gradius fan?
Or it costs too much for the number of Gradius game (counting Salamander in it)?

If you've spent a lot of time with Gradius on the NES (or another game console) console like me, I definitely recommend you buy it. Have a nice day.

Isn't there 3 Graduate games in the bundle? I enjoy almost every game in the bundle. It was worth the $15.99 I paid. I've seen it as low as $13.99 and it might be cheaper during the winter sale.

Technically the first two games + Salamander.

If Gradius 3&4 + Salamander 2 were in I would've bought the collection asap...

Would it cost too much to Konami to have ported the PSP gradius collection to the PC and the modern consoles?

Or even an even more complete collection with the Salamander games (+Life Force) and even Solar Assault?

Or even a remaster of Gradius V (like the Ikaruga Xbla and Steam port considering it uses the same engine) and making Gradius Rebirth available once again (being a Wiiware)

Sorry I thought Salamander was a Gradius game.

Considering how badly this bundle sold, I don't think people would pay more for the whole set,

Salamander is technically a part of the Gradius serie as a spin-off (Life Force is virtually the same game with some changes).

I think I may have more interrest in buying the PSP collections

It has the US and JP versions of Gradius, Salamander, and Gradius II. It has been worth it for me.

Are there significantly different changes?

I'm aware that Gradius 2 isn't the same game as Gradius II Gofer

And that Lifeforce had some changes from Salamander but this is only one game change...

I'm not sure about the specific differences with Gradius II and Salamander, but it wouldn't surprise me if they exist. Many version differences exist between the us/jp games included in this collection. Gradius and Nemesis have significant differences, the most major one being how rank works.

The Gradius serie is kinda complicated to follow but let's say that the 6 main game (aka the arcade numbered ones, from 1 to 5 + Gaiden) are the main serie.

The Salamander is a spin-off and the Nemesis serie is an alternate continuity following the MSX version of Gradius 1 (aka Nemesis).

Solar Assault is a tentative at making a true 3D Gradius game (a la Starfox or Panzer Dragoon)

Rebirth being a remake/reboot of the Nemesis games

I'm currently reading the Gradius Wikia and Wikipedia to understand the serie better

The PSP collection only had the arcade releases (+ the japan-exclusive PS1 game Gradius Gaiden) and I think this would be easier to re-release than emulated versions of the Nintendo consoles one.

I would love if Nintendo could put Gradius 2 and 3 in their online nes and snes services...

But yes for having every Gradius + Salamander + Nemesis (+ Solar Assault) in one single collection for the serie's 35th anniversary
