No minimap in campaign

As the title states there is no minimap in campaign mode, no outline, nothing. I searched online already, saying to delete the config file, which I did and I still have the problem. The thing is that all the solutions I'm reading are fixes for multiplayer, not campaign.

I played a little multiplayer and yes there is a minimap, the same with special ops mode.

I have a retail copy if that matters.

Campign doesn't have a mini-map. If you hold down TAB then you can see it, but you don't need it for Singleplayer, honestly.
