Is it Safe to play in 2025

I just saw that Steam and the Microsoft store released the OG Modern warfare 2 along with other titles. I looked up a YouTube video that posted 2 weeks ago saying it was unsafe to play . Now with the new year being today I was wondering if people are able to play without the risk of getting malware and getting your PC hacked after downloading the game.

I'm playing only for 3 days and everything's normal. Only play campaign. BTW, I discovered a "campaign remastered", is this on steam ?
