Also important to note the remaster does not have spec ops or multiplayer.
This game, like the first MW did not ever need a remaster. It looks great as is, the remasters were just a cheap cash grab on nostalgia. And if you really care about the game, they are the inferior version. MW 1 Remastered made you pay extra money for "DLC" when those same maps are included in original CoD 4 no DLC purchase needed. Not to mention the online was dead whereas CoD 4 is still alive, plus CoD 4 has tons of mods.
MW2 is still playable through I W Four X (which adds server browser, custom fov, and mod support) or Steam matchmaking (though you accept the risks if you do this, but I personally haven't gotten hacked) The remaster is on consoles only I think, and it only remasters the campaign. No multiplayer or spec ops.
