OP: "Exodus" Laser marker bug

Hey folks.

I've been playing mw2 for quite a while now, but I've never got past the 8. mission. Thats because at some point, my laser marker stops working. I'm playing on an iMac btw, so pls no tips for Windows. So, as soon as I go further into the level or I die, the laser function is gone. I tried binding different keys, restarting the game and I completly reinstalled it. Same issue. So, please help me. And in the name of God, please no "Buy a PC" comments.

This is an unfortunate Mac related bug that is yet to be fixed. A user submitted a support ticket on the issue and this was the statement received in response:-

"Thank you for sending us the requested information and for your patience while we further investigated your issue.

Our QA team has been able to replicate the issue, but unfortunately have been unable to find any solid workaround or fix. We can only suggest turning down the difficulty of the mission, and being extra cautious to not die in the level. This will result in you being able to use the laser designator, switch between all weapons, and complete the mission as intended.

From our testing, the laser bug only occurs when you die. Turning down the difficulty, being cautious, and not dying will not make this issue occur.

We are looking into it further for a potential fix in a future update, but we have no definite ETA at this time.

A couple of users appear to have done it on veteran which is very impressive under the circumstances so if you're playing on that difficulty or just want to finish the mission on any to progress; staying back and staying alive is the only solution to completion. You will need the laser to be active right until the very end of the mission too. Good luck!

This mission is VERY difficult on Vet. I died ~20 times (on the beginning of the mission, later on is easier). Good luck!
