I'm stuck, I can't get rid of the "Predator Drone control rig" computer

I can't get rid of the "Predator Drone control rig" computer even though I've pressed every single key on my keyboard, it just won't go away and I'm completely stuck now since can't do anything anymore at this point.

I'm currently in the "Wolverines!" mission.

Go to Options in game. Choose control - Actions. Makes sure you have set buttons for Change weapon and USE (default is F). The last is for you to be able to pick up weapon, so you must have this set or you wouldnt be able to pick up dronecontrol. Its probobly a bug. Verify local files in steam library before you start the game.
I remember that i could just switch weapon and back when i was on the roof. Had to do that if enemies was able to get up there and then i had to shoot them, not drone kill them..and myself...lol
EDIT: There is no option to drop weapon. you have to change to another or pick up one.

I had this problem as well, and I could only avoid it temporarily if I restarted the mission. I'll try your suggestion @Pure & Rustic and see if it works.

No, I still can't get rid of it. I went on the roof and still couldn't access my weapons, I couldn't even pick a new one up. (even after changing my controls and verifying my local files) Restarting the mission also didn't fix the problem.

Shut down the game. Take a look at config.cfg file in mw2/players folder. Right clik on it to see thad READ only is unchecked. When you start the game, see that USE is the button you chose for it (default is F). Can you pick up weapon on the ground, or at all in that level??
It may be that you havent done the missons i the right order. Press TAB (default) to see what you have to do to get progress in the mission. If i remember, the roof is close to the end of that mission. In the beginning you need to go to the building close to gaz-station, pick up a stinger and shoot the choppa down. Do you manage to pick that up..???

OK, nevermind. I managed to escape to the convey and finished the mission after my team mates cleared the area.

What's wrong with lowering your difficulty when you encounter a bug like that? Besides I'm just a casual gamer.

I dont think its a bug!!! I dont think you done the "Mission" in right order. Press TAB to see what you have to do, and the sergant says it too, what you have to doo.

I press tab all the time, I've done everything and by now I've already completed the entire game.

Maybe you right.. Try reinstall VCredist.exe and DXsetup.exe. Maybe there is one or more damaged files. Happen all the time with games from steam.
