It's sad that Microsofts ruins this classic by replacing the iconic 1997 main menu soundtrack. I always had much nostalgia for it. It wouldn't be so bad if the original game was still available, but they erased it. They even have the stupidity to call the remake "Definitive Edition", but there is nothing definitive about it.
2. It's awful to erase original game's legacy and just overwrite it with later games' theme. What about preserving the piece of culture?
3. Main menu is bland and makes the game appear as a web-browser mmo like Grepolis. Btw. what is this font, some basic freakin' Arial?
4. I feel kinda attached to the background pictures on the in-game interface that every civilization had, They switched these arts with some new ones instead of remastering the old :/

AoE classic had 2 different soundtracks. One of them is the MIDI soundtrack that most people know and was the one that got installed onto the computer. The other is the Redbook audio soundtrack that came only on the original releases of AoE and RoR.
