Windows 10 is a must?

I bought both games now I found out I must install windows 10 which is dislike. Will this game be available in windows 7 or at least age of empires 2 will it be available in windows 7?

You need either windows store (xbox or win10) or the steam plattform. AOE:DE was exklusiv für WStore( till now). AOE2:DE will be available on wStore and Steam at release. It`s possible that AOE 2 is more compatible than AOE(which works at least on 8.1 after a fix).
w10 is recommend thou and linux not yet implemented.

win 10 is must have. 16GB RAM is NEEDED for best textures (4x zoom mode in settings) - othwerwise this option will be greyed out with 8GB only.

Note than as you have legal windows 7 you can download windows 10 for free from Microsoft.

I have legal Windows 7 professional 64 bit, do you know if they will give me Windows 10 professional or home edition?

You'll get Win 10 Pro then. I think there's the so called Media Creation Tool which can be found on Microsoft's official website which assists you during the installation process.

you dont need win10, the game works on win8.1 thanks to a community member and soon to be working on win7 aswell.
