Spieleinstellungen speichern nicht / Game settings do not save

Mein Problem ist dass die Einstellungen die ich im Spiel mache nicht gespeichert werden.

z.B. Skallierung oder Zoom

My problem is that the settings I make in the game are not saved.

e.g. Scaling or zoom

Same issue. That's really annoying, having all the time to set these options again and again.

I even tried to modify the settings.ini in the config folder, but the game keeps rewriting it with default values

Did you also try to set the file to read-only?

For me, the files were already read-only, I changed then, because I thought it was but without effect

Excuse me but...where the hell do you have this settings.ini ?!

I cannot find any .ini file at all, or settings, or even config folder.

It's not located in the same directory where your game is installed (for whatever reason).

This is where my settings.ini file is located:

C:\user\<username>\Games\Age of Empires DE\Config\settings.ini

Omg THANK YOU so much !

It's funny, I searched for this in the game's folder, in my documents, even in appdata where a lot of games save their profiles there...nowhere to be found.

What a stupid place to put them in "Games"...I didn't even know there WAS such a folder on my PC lol. Guess what, only Microsoft games save there, of course !


PS: Maybe I can try to force the game to let me use x4 zoom without 16 GB of RAM ! *fingers crossed*
