If there is a symbol that looks like a "genie lamp" that means your car has a two-stroke engine and needs 5% oil and 95% gas in the tank to start. (that's about the only thing you'll probably have to pay attention to if your car refuses to start and everything else is in order).
Double check if what is in the gas tank is actually what the vehicle needs to work. Cars need gas or gas-oil mix, trucks and buses need diesel.
Radiator (big silver square thingy in front of the engine) needs water and engines themselves need oil in them to work.
If your car doesn't move, hit the spacebar, that's the handbrake and the car won't go anywhere with that engaged.
