Wheel settings that work for the Logitech G923
Hi,

Thought I'd share some settings for the Logitech G923 wheel/pedal set that are working well for me. I suspect all Logi wheels will use similar settings; no idea for Fanatec or other wheels!

In G-Hub:
  • Range 720 degrees. 540 is too twitchy for subtle corrections, 960 is too slow to respond to sudden big changes.
  • Sensitivity: 50
  • Centering Spring Strength: 100. Mostly to keep the wheel in a neutral spot and not drift.
  • Centering Spring in Non Force Feedback Games: ON. I don't think TLD sends feedback, and you'll want the centering.
  • TrueForce: Doesn't matter, I don't think TLD uses that.

In-game settings (which if you adjust one and the other numbers jump around, just scroll the settings page up and down a little and give the pedals each a little nudge, it doesn't like it if you ALT-TAB while on that page):

  • H Shifter: I don't have one, on your own!
  • Show Values: Nah. Unless you like seeing that.
  • Steer: Enable ON, Invert OFF, set at 0.00
  • Steer: Middle 0, Dead: 0.01, Sens: 1. This should let you make tiny corrections without rolling your train of 5 big tanker-trailers again... ahem...
  • Steer: Max: 0.95 to make the extremes engage a little before you hit the hardware stops

  • Throttle: Enable ON, Invert ON. Should read -1.00 with the controls all neutral.
  • Throttle Dead: 0.02 to give just a little take-up.
  • Throttle Sens: 0.65 so you can have some fine control
  • Throttle Max: 0.95 is fine, you shouldn't have to mash it ALL the way to get to orbital speed

  • Clutch: Enable OFF for me. I haven't been able to get the clutch or flappy-paddles to do quite what I want. The rest of the clutch settings don't matter.
  • Handbrake: Enable OFF, we'll assign buttons in the Controls section. Speaking of which...

In the Controls page, here's what I've done that's relevant
  • Auto-Clutch, Auto-Shift ON. IMPORTANT: If you mash the brake, when you get to zero speed you will go into Reverse. To slow down while in Reverse, use the hand brake or the accelerator. I haven't found a way to disable this behavior.
  • Zoom: The "Y" button on the wheel (Joystick1Button3)
  • Toggle Handbrake: The "B" button on the wheel (Joystick1Button1). Handbraking seems to be much more stable if you have a trailer than footbraking, though both at once is the quickest way to stop.
  • Ignition: The big XBox button (Joystick1Button10) I have the XBox/PC edition.
  • Horn: The + - buttons on the left side of the wheel (Joystick1Button8/9). BEEP BEEP
  • Lights: The LSB button (Joystick1Button9)

These work well for me. Your kilometerage will vary, but I think these are a good place to start. And remember, you can always follow Steelpants Radio's advice and if your wheel gets dirty, just JIZONNIT (the game's words, not mine)!

Yes, you can remap "poop" and "pee" to flappypaddles. clickityclickityclickity ahh much better

And remember...
DRIVE FAST. SQUISH BNUY. DRINK DIESEL. POOP. PEE.
