Is LONG DRIVE controller compatible?

Whenever Im looking at a game I go into the hub to ask because Ive wasted so much money on games that SAID THEY WERE CONTROLLER COMPATIBLE- just for them to not be. SO I came here to ask, Can you play long drive with a controller? When I played it a few years ago you could not- but they could have changed that by no, its been awhile.

I'm mainly asking because I have two little boys that want to play it but they don't know anything about the keyboard yet. THANKS ANYONE WHO ANSWERS!

It is.. "Compatible" in a very loose sense. The game very much needs a keyboard and mouse to properly play considering a lot of its mechanics.

There's a mod within the game's official discord, which streamlines and makes controller compatibility much better. But it's still not very desirable at its best.

It's not a very user friendly game to learn and understand for adults, let alone children. You'll have to guide them through and help them at each step. Depending on how you feel about that, it could be good OR frustrating.

Yeah I know how that goes lol, I have to do everything for them when they play stormworks and a few other games so I'm use to it. I know the game has always been pretty janky but that's why I loved it lol. Thanks so much for taking the time to reply!
