The Long Drive

The Long Drive

Is this the endless drive?
How to win the game? Is there any destination or just endless driving and trying to survive?

It's about the journey not the destination.

How many hours did that take? Seems like ive been driving for at least 2-3 hours and i only got 100km while driving at over 100km/h? How does that make any sense lol

To be honest, I dont really want a destination. What is going to happen when I get there? Cut to black and pat myself on the back? I want the drive to be interesting enough that I dont need a destination. Thats the whole purpose of most roadtrips.

I agree.
but there will be a destination, but you will be able to ignore it, and continue playing, even after you've reached it

It would've been really cool if you made the speed match the distance traveled. Like for an hour at 100km/h it should be 100km traveled. Why miss out on the opportunity to make it realistic?

Actually, you see these care are in pretty bad shape in some cases. The Speedometer itself could be in pretty bad shape and no longer giving accurate readings, or if you use different sized wheels from what it was originally calibrated for, not even matching the actual speed.

Though with that said, the Odometer should still match the speed in some way I'm sure. I would likely class this as a bug in some way IMO.

I didn't notice odometers not matching the distance driven, except with the lada displaying the 100's wrong (but that is fixed too in the beta version) and the scale being off above 100 kmh (other cars are displaying the speed correctly).

Are you 100% sure they don't match? I'm just asking because there were no signs before that they don't.

I remember watching HoerFuchS's stream about reaching 5000 km, and the difference was like 3-4 km, that is nothing, and could've come from shortcuts and not driving in a straight line and such

I find this game addictive. Even though at the first try I got permanently stuck at 3300km for the not fully optimized code (?) and my lame pc, then I started over with the newer version which was perfect at 5000 kms too. I deliberately didn't read any spoilers regarding the end of the game, thinking there is something at 5000, but then I found there wasn't. Got little disappointed, and thought I wouldn't play this version again, only when there is an ending, but I still feel the need to drive and drive, even if it's aimless at the moment. :D

In my game the odometer reads 900km but my title screen says 111km so i have no idea if i'm just reading something wrong

Edit: I love this game absolutely amazing.
Edit 2: do you ever plan on making a vr version of this game?

I would like there to be a Mom's house. With Mom.

I have an interesting theory about the game but I'd rather not discuss it here because I don't want to spoil anything accidentally. Something that would fit the story of the game almost perfectly neatly.
