First, the Barkas.
1. I don't know if this bug has been fixed yet, but every time you save with a car on the back of the car carrier, it explodes into oblivion the next time you try to reload.
2. Minimal space.
3. Although it has a radiator, you still need to put the fuel mixture of 97% gas to 3% oil, this is due to it having a two-stroke engine (don't fact check me on that)
Pros:
1. Space to carry another car.
2. Has a big gas tank.
3. It can carry almost any other car, excepting the bigger ones.
Now for the IFA.
Cons:
1. Its huge engine is not the most over-powered engine in the game, being out-torqued by the V8.
2. Its big form and general heaviness will make it harder to get up steep hills.
3. It being a diesel truck, it will be a little harder to find fuel to keep this truck running. Sometimes even the tanker ships don't have a lot of diesel in them.
Pros:
1. A lot of space to do almost whatever you want. I've seen people make gaming setups inside of that space.
2. If you attach some bars right, you can make it so that you can tow another car behind you.
3. Its huge fuel tank is so big (150 L), you won't really need to stop until you hit another ship tanker.
As I said above, this is mostly a matter of preference. These are certainly not all of the pros and cons the vehicles have, but right now the better choice looks to be the IFA W50. Happy driving!
