Same here. I drove to the bridge (8 km) and found a sweet ready to drive car carrier. Loaded my beetle onto that and drove until dark (another 8 k). No cafe.

Seeds only affect the road/buildings, but not what spawns in or around them

Yes..keep those seeds with the buildings. As far as the junk, it's always going to be different...thankfully. Even the Ships....the barrels are not going to give you what you had on your last game start.
