i don't see any possibilities for an intuitive way to play the game in vr
???
the game is already completely grabby-physics based, you have to manually swing the katana for crying out loud.
have the option to use a physical steering wheel[ :D ], using analog stick[ :) ], or grabbing the in game wheel[ :( ] for steering and you are good to go.
(i still want a update to the vr beta even without all that stuff. i am happy driving with a wheel and using mouse and keyboard for walking, just update the content and fix the camera recenter bug PLEASE)
and using the controllers themselves would not be a very good way to control the car, especially if it lacks buttons and you won't have any key for throttle and brake. plus steering with your hands floating in the air wouldn't be comfortable for too long, and if you would need to scratch some part of your body you will swerve the car and crash most likely.
how would you use motion controllers if you have a wheel: step away from desk, or for sitting fans, roll chair away from desk,
buttons when driving with motion controls: pretty pressure sensitive triggers are standard for motion contolers, left hand breaks right hand gas. or do what payday dose and have a in world slider (bleh)
stearing with hands floating in the air: i agree with you, in world steering sucks, which is why i want wheel support or at least analog stick, but there are others out there that eat it up, (which is why i suggested all 3 control options,)
what happens if you get a itch?: let go of the steering wheel?
