The Long Drive

The Long Drive

Challenges
So the basic game is pretty easy and boring after time so leave your challenges ideas here to make the game harder
Something like "start without taking anything else than a car from the spawn"

Here's one I've been toying around with. I just call it 100 kilometers.

Rules:

- Swap into the first vehicle you come across after your current one has taken you at least 100 km
- The condition of your new vehicle is irrelevant. Even if it's only a bare shell with no parts, you have to use it
- You can only carry with you the basic necessities to survive and get a car running which would be:

Food
1 Engine
1 Radiator
1 Jerry can of each fluid (fuel, oil and water)
1 siphon hose
A full set of wheels and tires

- You cannot swap vehicles whenever you want. Once you have your vehicle, you have to stick with it for the next 100 km. The only exception is if you get into a crash and your vehicle becomes unrecoverable
- Weapons are optional. If you want things to be harder, don't take any.
- The large cargo ships are off limits unless they are truly the only option you have for more fuel. If forced to go to one of the ships, you can only take a maximum of either 10 liters of gas or 20 liters of diesel to get you going again. Everything else has to be left behind.

There are a few things I'm unsure about such as cleaning supplies (sponges, magic spray and brushes). I kind of feel like they should be banned. This way if you want a good set of wheels and tires, you have to get lucky enough to find them.

The bus is another oddity since I'm not sure if most of the car engines could even get it moving or not. Plus it needs a minimum of 6 wheels where as most everything else only needs 4, So if you got stuck with only the basic shell of a bus to work with, that could wind up being the end of your run right there. That's why I'm considering making an exception for it.

Lastly is the question of what to do if you come across multiple cars to swap into. Should you be able to choose which car you take or should it maybe be that have to take the first one you saw? I'm open to suggestions on all of this stuff.

I call mine "The Long Walk"

You just have to walk the whole way

Yes. Just remember that you can only have 1 engine and 1 radiator on you. So if you want to change to a different one, you have to leave your current one behind.

Get a Golf, use a V8 motor for it, attach a trailer filled with heavy stuff, and try to pass the mountains in it

Pr1vateLime has done a couple that sound neat.

One where you must never leave the vehicle, you have to lean out of the doors and grab what is in reach, or use a metal bar to push things towards you.

Another was where he "started" in a garage with a rusted out frame and had to make a working vehicle out of the parts inside.
