No steering?

After reloading the game, my steering suddenly stopped working and I have no clue why. Even when using the mouse steering mode the car doesn't turn. Right now the game is completely unplayable.

yeah they removed the able to steer cars

You must have accidentally pressed the U key. Try pressing it again, and your steering should return. Theres a new mouse driving feature and it's easy to accidentally press the U key.

Yeah, It's part of the new "jesus take the wheel" update.
At first, I thought the problem was U, but what if U can't solve it?

Press the U key, OP and we'll see.

I have ALWAYS used the arrow key to steer vehicles in ALL my games since 2004 and the mouse to look around !

This update killed the steering sensibilities with using the arrow key !
I tried putting the sensibility to min but no change !
The the steering goes full left or full right at the slightest touch of the arrow keys, and I mean light the steering wheel will do 2 or more full turn with one tap.
So the game is broken.
Please fix the steering sensibilities.
And the U just freezes the look around with the mouse thing.
Steering with the mouse is a bad idea.
Think about it all GTA games never implemented mouse steering.
Did gamers complain to rockstar ?
It's either keyboard and mouse or for some people it's joystick.
I hate joysticks, never used them, I like keyboard and the mouse to look around.
I refuse to give up looking around with the mouse.

P.S. I like the other changes you made, please just undo this one it's not necessary more like damaging.

For me the steering sensitivity is fine. It only goes all the way to left and right if you press the Arrow Key AND the corresponding WASD key. But maybe you changed the keybindings before the patch so that the arrow keys are defined to be both primary and secondary control. You may need to reset those control settings.

Ah yes...Well to be honest, my parents raised me with proper steering sensibilities, so i don't have those issues.

OK, I fixed it.

I believe when you first go in settings, the keyboard default steering are set as; primary a and d plus as secondary left and right arrow keys (this part is new) I did not see that at first.
So I did as I always do in all games and set the primary as left and right arrow keys, I did not notice that the new layout already had this in the secondary.

So having both the arrow key in the primary and secondary apparently will screw up the steering !

So if you make the same mistake as I did, just erase or clear the line settings by first pressing the garbage and reinstall the arrows as primary and it should work.

And also it is nice that we have now the keyboard sensibility working and I am currently trying 0.9 for steering.
