How many players can play multiplayer?

Friends were considering getting this for multiplayer. Can we play 6 player CO-OP?

You can, Mr Goodman.
There is no size limit on lobbies, 6, 12, 128, 4815162342 etc
Just as long as the host computer can handle it...
