Found this magic lamp, what is this for?

If you rub it (alt) and it shines like a lamp-- doesn't seem to do anything else besides that, at least to my knowledge.

Yes I tried the same, it seems it just lights up for a minute or two.

I found one too, wasn't sure what it did, thought maybe if I rubber it, it would have like any fluid I needed in it. I wonder if we actually can put fluid in it? Im going to check that.

Update: Nope, can't hold fluid.

you have to rub it for a total of 12 hours real life time and a genie will come out to give you stuff

So Uh. I've had this lamp for awhile now flying around in the back of my truck - and for anyone else who has one and has *rubbed it*, did you uh... notice anything wrong with your save files at some point after doing this? I've got a black image of the lamp on all of my saves (I thought it was some kind of image tear at first) around or after the period of rubbing the lamp and I think I might've unleashed a curse. :)

Can it be a cheat device we don't know about, or just an easter egg? I feel like we need to experiment.

Just wondering but are you wearing a hat? Sometimes when you pause the game it causes a black shape on your save image that can look like a lamp.

Lol no problem. I started noticing the same black image thing and after some testing found its the brim of the hat clipping into the screen.

Take a music box as well. Probably nothing, but who knows. I also wonder about leaving things in the mailbox at home. And while highly unlikely to be connected, there are those radio towers with screens/buttons yet no known purpose.

Took the lamp to the radio tower and those strange rock formations that look like a stargate. Couldn't get any reaction out of them, although I did manage to glitch my lamp into the radio tower while messing around.

out of curiosity i took the lamp to the transmitter tower the one with the screen and weird buttons on it. Could not get anything to work with it unfortunately. A while ago i tried to bring the keyboard and tv screen there as well.
