Tanker Trailer Ideal Capacity?
I've recently been towing a tanker trailer filled with diesel behind my truck, and I've filled it up somewhere below 300 litres, as I've heard about the tanker becoming unwieldy when above a certain volume. Though that could be related to the tanker truck itself, and not the trailer.

So is there an ideal filling capacity for the tanker trailer? Or will it matter if it has a full capacity?

Only problem I've experienced is with the tanker truck. Filled it to max and the back suspension bounced around a lot at high speeds.

I'm more concerned about using the tanker trailer. Wasn't sure if anyone suffered similar issues with it like with the truck.

I've run into issues with the tanker trailer metal frame (where it attaches to the the truck w/ overhead roofing) it gets stuck between the rear frame of the truck at an awkward angle after a series of physics based shenanigans during a series of violent rolls causing the truck to only turn in one direction full left/right no chance at going straight. Even when disconnected and readjusted to be straight during re-mounting of trailer the trailer decides to go back to that wedged position and this was with under 250-200 liters of diesel inside the trailer.
unfortunately my capture program hadn't been recording correctly while I experienced it, have yet to find another {mine got launched to space after a violent roll at ~160kmh... hope the UFO(s) enjoyed the free delivery of ~250 liters of diesel!!!}

I think that might be more of a speed issue if anything, meaning the game didn’t know what to do in a crash. I daren’t go above certain speeds while driving, especially downhill after that horrid mountain climb.

I shoot for 300 gallons. Seems to ride great, gives plenty of extra fuel to find tankers. I refill at 200 as it gets a bit light and twitchy otherwise. Never any reason to go above 500, its way more than you could ever need (honestly 300 is too), and you'll have a hard time stopping, also bumps will ruin you.

Just my experience though.

yes it was definitely speed that caused the truck to violently roll but the trailer stayed attached till i discounted it and then it flew off, so it was psychics that caused the trailer to be flung to space

And honestly i think the tanker trailer isn't really need so far. the truck with the bus engine gets pretty good mpg. I'm only at 500km traveled and I'm just keeping 2 70L (full barrels seem impossible to get under the truck for me) barrels of diesel under the truck to refill it. Haven't even had to use the 2 barrels of diesel so far because I normally find a ship before the tank is even empty (get that its rng based on your seed)
