The Long Drive

The Long Drive

Same Starting Car Every Time?
It seems like the game just keeps giving me the same starting car every time. Once it decides on a car, it keeps spawning that car no matter how many new games I start. How do I get it to spawn a different model? I'm not driving that two-stroke piece of crap again.

I rather like rolling those two-stokes down a hill by them selves. lol

You don't, you drive down the road a find a new car properly ;)

It's intentional feature, to stop people from starting over and over to get the car they want, instead of playing the game properly

If that's the case, how does the feature actually work? What triggers it to randomly select a different car? Or are you just speculating?

I've had that where it seems to want to give you the same car over and over, but i've managed to get some others by just keep trying.

Quit game, launch game again, start a new game. This seems to "reset" which car you get.

It does this using the time of day and some very complicated randomisation based from it, but it's something like, your new games will be with the same car for about 30 minutes

Idk, I always seem to get the Lada every time, which is honestly fine by me. :p

It is a rolling list based on time. Car1->Car2->Car3>-Car4->Car1...
From my observation, the change is done every 10 to 15 minutes real time.

So in theory we could just set our system clock forwards/backwards by 10 minutes and change the car we got?

I started a new game repeatedly until I got a different car. Had a Caddy and now a Lada 2101 estate (dream I know) in my spawn garage, maybe twenty two strokes first.

Also it's true, down the road was a truck, vw golf, caddy and saloon car. Maybe try driving there each restart to see what spawns as well as your garage.

I had this issue except I was trying to get that terrible two-stroke, lol! Felt like it would be more fun if I started with a bad car.

if you are aiming for the worst car, get a dacia

Multiplayer Test. You can choose which car you want at spawn, and you can also spawn in any vehicle from the Debug Menu by clicking the black rectangle below the clock. :-)
